Outreachy is seeking experienced open source contributors to act as mentors for Outreachy interns. Mentors should review the mentor guide before they submit a project.
Pending communities: These communities applied to participate in the May 2026 cohort. Mentors are encouraged to submit projects while the community is under review.
These communities have participated in past rounds, or submitted an application to participate. Coordinators can sign the community up to participate again.
Mentors can receive an email when a community signs up to participate. To get an email notification, visit the community pages linked below.

New communities can submit an application to participate in Outreachy.
Check to see if your community is listed in the past communities list. If it is, don't submit a new community application. Instead, follow the community link and sign up to coordinate for the community. Otherwise, submit a new application for your community to participate in Outreachy.
